Task
A global player in the beverage industry was facing the problem that the costly raw materials used to produce its beverages were not being utilized optimally during the mixing process. As a result, the raw materials were being depleted too quickly and necessitated frequent readjustments of mixing ratios (leading to costly production downtime). For this reason, among others, a new 6-component inline mixer was to be built and programmed. The programming was designed to ensure optimal utilization of the raw materials from batch tanks and especially from the IBC containers – all this continuously during ongoing production to deliver a product of consistently high quality.
Solution
Lehmann Engineering has developed software featuring a proprietary, integrated AI solution that complements the standard software. This AI-driven program learns continuously during production, making ongoing corrective adjustments to the manufacturing process and raw material dosing to ensure optimal utilization of raw materials.
